“Global Business Services” is emerging as the model of choice for shared services organizations around the world: 61% are already committed to GBS, and another 19% plan to move to GBS within five years, according to SSON R&A research.
One of the reasons is that, beyond cost and performance, GBS are particularly focused on delivering “value,” which is exactly what enterprises need today.
To better understand how value is defined and delivered, we analyzed GBS data from our recent “The World’s Best GBS” award applications and combined that analysis with our value-based GBS model. The result is this report, which provides an unambiguous analysis of GBS: its components, its performance drivers, and its enablers. The report also defines eight tactical dimensions of GBS.
